TIFFANY & CO. (New York) reopened its location at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif., moving from a boutique into a 15,000-square-foot flagship.
Designed by retail architect Peter Marino, the reimagined store’s design celebrates textures inspired by the hammering technique employed by Edward C. Moore, a 19th-century silversmith that crafted works for Tiffany. The interior also pays homage to the flagship’s location on California’s coast with a variety of visual nods to the waves of the Pacific Ocean.
A few of Tiffany’s iconic jewelry collections are showcased alongside custom light sculptures created by architect Hugh Dutton. The location also features the Tiffany Archive, exhibiting valuable objects from Californian culture, such as a piece of morganite from Mesa Grande, Calif.
Tiffany previously operated a boutique in South Coast Plaza. The new flagship took over a space previously occupied by Nordstrom.
