Sissy’s Log Cabin Opens Boutique Inside Saracen Casino Resort
Casino exec calls the jeweler “the Tiffany’s of the South” as eighth store opens in Pine Bluff.
Sissy’s Log Cabin celebrated the grand opening of a boutique inside Saracen Casino Resort on July 17, marking the jeweler’s eighth storefront.
The opening returns Sissy’s newest store to its hometown: The Quapaw Nation-owned Saracen, which opened in 2020 as the first purpose-built casino in Arkansas, sits in the same city where Sissy Jones opened the original log cabin location in 1970 — a store that remains in operation today. The boutique offers resort guests a curated selection of fine jewelry, the company said, in a space designed by architect Jesse Balaity.
“Pine Bluff will always be at the heart of the Sissy’s Log Cabin story, and opening a boutique inside Saracen Casino is a full-circle moment for our family and our brand,” said Bill Jones, CEO of Sissy’s Log Cabin. “This partnership allows us to bring our extraordinary jewelry and exceptional customer service to a space full of energy and celebration. We’ve always believed fine jewelry should be part of life’s biggest moments, and we’re proud to grow with Pine Bluff while helping guests mark everyday joys and once-in-a-lifetime milestones.”
Carlton Saffa, chief market officer at Saracen Casino Resort, said the retailer fits the property’s goals for gaming and hospitality in the state.
“We see Sissy’s as the Tiffany’s of the South — their brand is interwoven into the fabric of Pine Bluff and Arkansas,” Saffa said. “Having Sissy’s as part of Saracen allows us to offer the property’s more than one million annual guests, something you’d see in Las Vegas, all while remaining distinctly Arkansas.”
Founder Sissy Jones, who opened her first store in Pine Bluff in 1970, attended the ribbon cutting along with Sissy’s customers and staff, Saracen Casino representatives, and members of the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce.
