Employees at Tapestry Inc.’s Coach and Kate Spade New York units spent a day recently sharing what they are building, testing and learning about AI across their businesses. Teams from the two fashion brands exchanged such information at the company’s second annual “Future Now AI Summit” at Tapestry’s New York headquarters.
“AI is rapidly transforming consumer behavior and expectations for the brands they choose,” Tapestry CEO Joanne Crevoiserat said in a news release. “Our greatest competitive advantage will always be our people, and Tapestry’s culture of innovation is empowering our teams to embrace AI as a way to understand consumers more deeply, spark even more creativity, and move faster.”
More than 20 cross-functional teams demonstrated early-stage and in-market ways they are using AI, including:
* A Consumer Insights Lab: AI-powered research capabilities that are helping teams understand consumer motivations, behaviors and preferences at greater speed and scale.
* AI-Powered Store Associate Training: Realistic simulations and personalized feedback designed to help associates build confidence and consistency in customer conversations.
* Enterprise Decision Intelligence: Patented platforms that connect information across the business, helping teams uncover insights faster and respond more quickly to shifts in consumer and market trends.
AdvertisementIn its release on the sessions, Tapestry noted that it has invested in building a patented decision intelligence layer, dubbed Mira, that’s powered by a patented enterprise data foundation, Global Data Fabric. That setup means insights that come out about AI processes aren’t limited to a central team but are also available to those closest to the decision-making.
