World’s Best Department Stores Ranked

To keep customers coming through the door, department stores often go above and beyond to provide a luxurious shopping experience. So, which such shopping emporia are best at that approach?

A recent study by CouponPi attempted to answer that question by compiling a list of the 50 most famous department stores worldwide and then analyzing more than 46,000 online reviews to uncover which ones were viewed as tops by consumers.

The top 10:

1. Fortnum & Mason, Picadilly, London
2. El Palacio de Hierro, Polanco, Mexico City
3. Liberty London, Regent Street, London
4. Arnotts, Henry Street, Dublin
5. Selfridges, Oxford Street, London
6. Printemps, Haussman, Paris
7. Takashimaya Department Store, Ngee Ann City, Singapore
8. Bloomingdale’s, 59^th Street, New York
9. Saks Fifth Avenue, Midtown Manhattan, New York
10. Le Bon Marche, 7^th Arrondissement, Paris

In a separate ranking, Saks Fifth Avenue was named the best department store for Christmas shopping, followed by Le Bon Marché in Paris and Liberty London in London.
