Zara to Launch Secondhand Clothes Service in U.S.
The retailer’s initiative comes after launches in multiple European countries
Zara (Madrid) will launch its secondhand clothes services in the United States by the end of October, according to Reuters. Zara’s Pre-Owned program, already operating in many European countries, aims to sell, repair or donate secondhand clothes to decrease waste and reduce consumption of raw materials.
Zara’s program first launched in the U.K. in 2022. This follows H&M and other fast fashion companies in offering secondhand clothing. Zara’s service will be available in stores, app and website.
