Lisa Vanderpump has unveiled Gigolo, a 50-seat cocktail lounge in a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip that recently reopened under her surname. (That hotel, at Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road, was previously The Cromwell.) Vanderpump, who gained fame on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and is the star and executive producer of the spinoff “Vanderpump Rules,” describes the lounge as “moody and mysterious, sexy yet sophisticated.”

The lounge is named after Vanderpump’s longtime canine companion and features a 5-foot-tall resin statue of the late Pomeranian at its center. “To commemorate my beloved Gigolo, our lovedog who inspired The Vanderpump Dog Foundation, creating a bar in his honor has always been a dream of mine,” said Vanderpump. “… The other meaning of Gigolo is also something we had a lot of fun with – creating a dark, sultry space with a wink and plenty of sexy undertones. I think it will be a welcome respite to guests and visitors, nestled into the bosom of The Vanderpump Hotel.”

Beyond the canine sculpture icon, the news release on the opening includes this description of its interiors: “The space reflects [design firm] Vanderpump Alain’s signature bespoke aesthetic, with deep red oversized chandelier shades, delicate crystal lighting, red roses and brass accents. Black velvet banquettes and a custom Vanderpump Alain black-and-red carpet are a bold, rich and lush design choice as a comfortable and welcoming entrance to the hotel.

“Stunning black metal lattice wraps the lounge’s perimeter, while the central circular bar anchors the space and offers eight bar-top games. Along the back wall, a large liquor display cabinet adds a striking focal point.”

Occupying the space formerly known as the Bound Bar, Gigolo sits next to the check-in area at the Caesars Entertainment property. The renovated hotel and its lounge represent the latest of Vanderpump’s several ventures on the Strip; others include cocktail spaces at Caesars Palace, Paris Las Vegas and Flamingo Las Vegas.
