Tech giant Apple (Cupertino, Calif.) continues its investment in the music and live entertainment sector by opening a new live music venue, Apple Music Hall, in London’s Battersea Power Station.

The venue’s design was inspired by the industrial history of Battersea Power Station, including exposed brick, arched beams and bronze-colored elements throughout the space. With a capacity of 600, Apple Music Hall was designed to “close the gap between intimacy and production value and allow for an unprecedented level of creative control,” according to a company press release. “Every seat feels close to the performer, yet the infrastructure offers what an artist requires for an arena tour, with a 38-foot-wide stage that can be reconfigured for traditional front-facing sets or more in-the-round experiences.”

A glass wall allows for panoramic views of the historic area and the River Thames. Apple Music Hall also includes a full production facility with two recording and mix studios.

“Apple’s deep love for music dates all the way back to the very beginning, from the launch of the iPod to the long-running iTunes Music Festival to the debut of Apple Music,” Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and International Content, said in a press release. “Today, with the opening of Apple Music Hall, we are once again taking an unprecedented step further in our commitment to artists and fans by supporting live music in ways only Apple can do.”
