Windows at Neiman Marcus Flagship Honor Store’s Past

The downtown Dallas Neiman Marcus, which will close at the end of this month, is saying goodbye to the city with a series of window displays reflecting its high profile in fashion circles over the decades, The Dallas Morning News reports. The images are housed in the store’s sidewalk-level display windows on Ervay and Main streets.

More than a half-dozen images, mostly black-and-white, showcase the retail spot in an earlier time. Images include one of Coco Chanel trying on hats at the store with Stanley Marcus in 1957. Smith, granddaughter of Stanley Marcus, and her team.)

The store’s closure comes in the wake of Neiman Marcus being acquired by Saks Global, now known as Exemplar Luxury Group. The future of the site has not yet been determined.
