Babies R Us will expand its business to Mexico, parent company WHP Global announced. The first Babies R Us store will open in the second half of 2024, however the location of the store has not been decided.
Partnering with El Puerto de Liverpool, a Mexican omnichannel retailer, WHP Global plans to open both physical stores in the region and a flagship e-commerce platform.
“We are excited to build on the success of Toys R Us in Mexico and expand our partnership with Liverpool to introduce Babies R Us to the Mexican market,” said Jamie Uitdenhowen, WHP’s Executive Vice President of Toys R Us and Babies R Us at WHP Global.
Mexico’s first Toys R Us opened in October 2023 under the partnership of WHP and Liverpool.
